15 Women Owned Small Businesses for Pets You Need to Know About

Matching Face Mask & Bandana Set from KoaBear Bandanas

I love supporting small businesses, especially if that means I can find fun and unique pieces for Teddy! I try to shop small whenever possible and have found some brands that I love and keep coming back to. Today, I thought it would be fun to share 15 woman owned small businesses I’ve shopped with so far this year.

Accessories for Your Pet

KoaBear Bandanas

We’ve been shopping KoaBear bandanas for years! Teddy actually won one of his very first bandanas years ago through an Instagram giveaway and we’ve been hooked ever since! KoaBear Bandanas is led by Tina, KoaBear, and Honi! Recently, they hosted Honi’s closet cleanout, where Teddy was able to snag 3 adorable bandanas: a rugged denim with a bear patch, a classic suit, and a  very David Rose, Chanel inspired classic. Our friend, Wuppy even sent us a Valentine’s Day gift of a matching face mask and bandana, from KoaBear Bandanas!

Tina is known for her creative designs. We absolutely love her “ugly sweater” inspired Christmas bandanas, but for Easter, she launched confetti filled bow ties! I just had to grab one and I am so glad I did! The bow tie itself if made from a waterproof, plastic or laminated type of material and it is filled with confetti goodness! Teddy wore this on our recent overnight Easter trip to Fairhope, Alabama and he got stopped so many times for pets! I hope she does these for other holidays! Shop their Etsy store here.

Ducky’s Duds

If you’re familiar with Instagram Dogs, you likely have seen @duckysdoings. Ducky is known for his amazing hair, his family holiday posts, and his love of Halloween but his mom has recently started a bandana and clothing shop for pets. They have cool band tees for dogs and fun and kooky patterns for dog bandanas! She even makes blankets! She surprised us with the gift of a sequin suit bandana, inspired by the amazing outfit worn by The Weeknd during his Super Bowl Halftime performance. We also purchased an incredible “Date Mike” bandana, with a print from the office on one side and pansies on the other! Date Ted, nice to meet me! You can check them out on Instagram here and you can follow Ducky himself here.

Pawpawrazzi Ready

If you follow Teddy on Instagram, you know we love Pawpawrazzi Ready. We’ve been shopping there for years. Founded by Monique, Pawpawrazzi has super cute and fun designs. She’s designed several custom orders for us over the years, including Teddy’s Valentine’s Day suit! I absolutely love him in this bandana. Monique recently had two of her pups cross the rainbow bridge, CEO Julian and his sister Lily. We have been so saddened by this loss.

Mandeville Trailhead Community Farmers’ Market

We love heading to Mandeville on Saturdays when we can and we try to check out the farmers market when we get the chance! I can’t remember the name of this maker, but there’s a booth that sells dog collars and bow ties there every time we’ve been. They are usually located under the overhangs, past the restrooms. We love this crawfish bowtie for our Louisiana boy! You can visit the Farmers’ Market on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. They have arts and crafts, jewelry, home decor, fruits, veggies, and more! The Farmers’ Market is located at 675 Lafitte Street Mandeville, LA 70448.

Bellabbarkery

Back in February, we won an Instagram giveaway hosted by Tori Mistick of Wear Wag Repeat. We won an adorable Valentine’s Day theme bow tie collar. Bella B’s Barkery sells handmade dog accessories for any occasion! How cute is Teddy in his collar? 10% of sales go to rescues! Check them out!

Pawsitively Golden Boutique

Another business we were introduced to, courtesy of the Instagram giveaway was Pawsitively Golden Boutique. We were gifted one of their bandanas and highly recommend! The banadanas are soft and have 3 snaps that allow for adjustable sizing, perfect for Teddy because his neck size depends on the amount of fur he has! The bandanas are also reversible! Shop for your bandana here.

Kissy Fish Designs

You know our love of the Kissy Fish collar tags! Well, they recently launched a bandana collection and it has all the same adorable prints that are offered as tags. Teddy loves his LSU and gumbo bandanas! These bandanas are thick and perfect for dogs on the go! Thank you to Kissy Fish for sending these to Teddy! Shop for your bandana here.

Dog Mom Gear

Happy Dog Mom Co.

Happy Dog Mom Co is located in San Diego and has a collection of tees and sweatshirts with sayings any dog mom would love printed on the front. I ordered the “treat dogs with kindness” sweatshirt and it has become my work from home uniform. The sweatshirt is super soft and fits true to size. Will definitely have to grab some tees to wear this summer! Check out their Instagram here.

LolaMina Designs

If you’ve been on the blog before, you know how much we love Lolamina Designs. The team behind Lolamina surprised me for my birthday with the ultimate Dog Mom package! Their Mina’s North Star necklace, Lola’s Gold Ring, and matching fur clips and scrunchie set. Any of these would make great gifts for Mother’s Day which is right around the corner! The jewelry sparkles and is lightweight and beautiful! Each purchase gives backs to pets in need. Check them out on Instagram here.

Willowbee Goods

Yet another business I heard about through the Instagram giveaway, Willowbee Goods! Willowbee Goods sells handmade boho dog accessories but they also have tees for dog moms. The tee is super soft and is perfect for lounging around the house or heading to the gym! Check them out on Instagram here.

Home Goods

Fairy Candle Company

Candles are one of my favorite things to have around the house. It feels so nice to light a candle at the end of a long day or working from home on a rainy day. Lately, I have been loving candles by The Fairy Candle Company. These candles smell amazing! I love anything with Honeysuckle but also love the Love Spell inspired scent! These candles are hand made in Mobile, Alabama and this shop is woman owned! You can check them out here.

Furlou

I also recently purchased a doodle candle made by Furlou. This candle is super cute and would be a great housewarming gift for any dog lover, especially a doodle owner. The candle comes in 3 colors but I chose the cream color. You can grab one of these here.

Wear, Wag, Repeat

As mentioned earlier, we won an Instagram giveaway hosted by Tori Mistick and other woman owned businesses. One of the gifts in our package was this “Be Kind” banner, which I absolutely love! It is fun with fringe and sparkles with a great message! It makes the perfect addition to our guest bedroom. The banner is by the brand Fun Cult and you can purchase your own banner through Tori’s shop: Wear, Wag, Repeat. You can also follow her on Instagram here.

Dog Friendly Stores

Alligator Eyes- 5700 Magazine Street New Orleans.

Alligator Eyes is a funky and fun boutique nestled in the shops on Magazine Street in New Orleans! They sell everything from sunglasses (including for pets), disco balls, purses, earrings, Ring for Popeyes bells, and ceramic cats (up for adoption!). This past Christmas and Mardi Gras season, they also hosted Holiday Pet Photoshoots. You know we love any opportunity to go to a dog friendly shop, especially when photos were involved, so we jumped at both opportunities! How cute did these pictures turn out? I can’t wait for the next holiday session! You can find them on Instagram here.
