FROM DOG TO DATE: DATE NIGHT OUTFITS FOR DOG MOMS

Every Friday night, my husband and I love to either go out to dinner and sit on the patio with Teddy or get takeout and enjoy a date night at home. We try to bring Teddy with us whenever we can, because he LOVES to hit the town. With Teddy in tow, it is inevitable that we will stop by one of his favorite parks to take a walk or go on a long walk around the neighborhood before we leave. This can make it hard to figure out what to wear sometimes. I like to be comfortable and look cute but don’t want to worry about my clothes getting dirty from little paws.

Since we bring Teddy so many places, I’ve adapted my style to include pieces that work for date nights, the dog park and even work! I thought it would be fun to share how I take things from “dog to date” as a fun spin on “day to night” for us dog moms who love to include our pups on date night when possible.

I found this fun boxy tee with shoulder pads at Simply Chic, a local boutique here in Baton Rouge. When I saw it on their Instagram try on, I knew I had to grab it. I loved it so much, I also grabbed it in black! This top is so fun with the shoulder pads but it is also versatile! It’s classic with a fun twist and is perfect for when I want to take Teddy out for a walk or to the park, but have plans after.

This Friday, we took Teddy on a nice, long walk around the neighborhood before dinner. For this, I wore the shoulder pad tee with classic and comfy black joggers, my sunglasses from Krafty Kravingz and my favorite Nike Cortez sneakers. I like to keep our walks comfy!

Before we left for dinner, I threw on my black jeans and sandals, just to change it up a bit. For accessories, I always wear my dainty dog bone chain by Stella and Bow and I paired it with chunky acrylic hoop earrings and a silky headband. I was still comfortable and able to move around with Teddy while we were out but I felt put together!

Teddy decided to wear his pastel, tie dyed bandana by The Pet Scout Shop and he felt SUPER handsome!

I hope this helps other dog moms out there! I am going to have fun sharing more “Dog to Date” looks in the future!
