  • Change a pets life!
  • Helps make room for other pets

Companion Animal Alliance is the nonprofit animal shelter formed in 2010 to increase the save rate of animals in the Baton Rouge community.  They save around 8,000 animals a year and they don’t just limit that to cats and dogs!

Here’s how you can support Companion Animal Alliance and help them Clear the Shelter:

  • Adopt a Pet– CAA has some of the cutest pets in town who are ready to meet you and during the month of August, they are offering 50% off adoption fees of pets currently living in the shelter, all you have to do is mention Clear the Shelter.  CAA has dogs and cats of every size, shape, color, age, and breed. All dogs have been temperament tested and they have adoption counselors on site who can help you find the best pet to fit your lifestyle. Click here to learn more.
  • Donate- It’s no secret that many shelters rely on donations and any donation helps. During the summer months, the shelter intakes more animals than any other time of year. Learn more about the different ways you can donate to support Companion Animal Alliance below.
  • Share adoptable pets on social media: If you aren’t able to donate or aren’t able to adopt a pet, one way you can make a big impact is by simply sharing posts of adoptable pets you see on social media. You never know how far your reach is and you could help an animal find a home outside of the shelter with a simple click of a button. Plus, you will bring joy to someone’s day, because who doesn’t enjoy seeing cute dogs or cats on their social media feeds?

Here are 4 ways you can donate to support CAA:

  •  Monetary donations: Monetary donations create a positive ripple effect that can help sustain shelters for months to come. They can alleviate some of the financial burden that comes with saving pets, can allow shelters to perform life saving medical care, buy more supplies that are needed and more. Click here to donate.
  • Supplies: Donate Supplies such as food, blankets, towels, etc. You can purchase supplies and bring them right to the shelter (located at 2550 Gourrier Ave) or you can host a supply drive at your business, neighborhood, etc.
  • Shop through Amazon Smile and the CAA Amazon Wishlist: You can shop the Amazon Wishlist and have the items shipped directly to the shelter here.
  • Sign up for Amazon Smile: When you sign up and choose Companion Animal Alliance as your favorite organization, we will receive .5% of things you order. (Including orders from our Wish list!)
  • Become a Member: You can impact hundreds of lost, abandoned, and abused pets for as low as $10 a month. Click here to donate.
