ABOUT THE EVENT
During the summer months, Companion Animal Alliance sees an increase in the number of animals they intake and they need your help! The shelter, located at 2550 Gourrier Ave is currently experiencing an increase in the number of animal intakes and they are at capacity. You can help by adopting one of their amazing pets, signing up to foster a pet or by donating money or supplies to help the shelter as they continue to see more animals come in. Price Leblanc Lexus and Companion Animal Alliance are teaming up to help more pets find their furever homes on June 9th at the Price Leblanc Lexus Dealership, located at 13200 Airline Highway in Baton Rouge.
June 10th is Pet Adoption Day at Price Leblanc Lexus! The dealership will be hosting a day of fun as they work to find good and loving homes for the shelter pets of Companion Animal Alliance. If you have been thinking about adding a loving companion to your family, this is the perfect day to do so! Stop by the Price Leblanc Dealership on June 10th to meet the pets or bring your current pet. There will be goody bags for all the dogs who visit and a photo booth set up for photos of you and your best furry friend. In addition to fun, there will be information on pet safety and coloring books for the kids. Tre’s Street Kitchen will be on site with their delicious bites for lunch. If you are a Lexus owner who adopts a Companion Animal Alliance pet at the event, Lexus is offering $100 off your next service as a way of saying thank you for making a difference.
DONATIONS NEEDED
If you can’t make the event but still would like to support Companion Animal Alliance, theyare in need of donations. Teddy and I will be at the event, possibly with Teddy’s puppy Uncle Howie enjoying the photo booth and bringing donations that Teddy picked out to help the shelter. Some ideas for items that the shelter needs are below but you can also visit caabr.org for a full list of items or you can donate through their Amazon wishlist.

Adopting a pet has health benefits to both you and the pet. Adopting clears space from the shelter so they can intake more animals in need, it gives the pet a second chance at life, can transform their personality as they get out of the stressful shelter environment, and you save a life. For us humans, adopting pets can help us deal with stress, lower blood pressure and can help you make friends with other pet owners.
