5 Unique Pet Portraits Every Dog Parent Will Love

If you’re anything like me, when it comes time for a special occasion, you love anything with your pet’s face on it. So it is safe to say that any time I see a cute pet portrait, I add it to my wishlist. Here are 6 unique pet portraits that I absolutely love!

Crown & Paw

You have definitely seen Crown and Paw’s unique and hilarious pet portraits on your social media ads. They are everywhere! With Crown and Paw, you can turn your pet into a renaissance masterpiece, make them a Noble or General. These portraits are definitely a conversation starter and are bound to make your home look a little more distinguished. Crown and Paw is not just a pet portrait website, they are also a proud partner of the Humane Society International. You can view the many different options available on their website here.

Old Man Grey

If you would have told me ten years ago that I would be willingly talking to strangers on the internet, I would have thought you were crazy! Creating Teddy’s Instagram has allowed us to connect with fellow dog lovers all over the world and I am so glad to have connected to Old Man Grey also known as Graeme Clark!  Graeme is a big animal lover and his mission is to illustrate the importance of pets!

Graeme is an Edinburgh based illustrator and desinger.  He is a dog dad to Pip and is married to Nicola who makes the most delicious looking baked goods. He’s an amazing artist who has been the illustrator in children’s books and creating his own merchandise.

About 5 years ago, while my husband and I were living in Yokohama, Japan, we had to leave Teddy behind with my parents since he did not meet the pet import requirements yet. Japan is super dog friendly, with dog cafes, people taking their dogs out on the town, and people dress in matching outfits with their pets! We had Graeme do a portrait of Teddy in front of one of the beautiful monuments we saw in our travels, and of course, he had to include Teddy’s favorite dragon, Curtis. This is my favorite thing in our house and it hangs in our dining room! You can find Graeme’s website here, his Instagram here and his website here.

Amanda Proctor Ceramics

You guys learned all about Amanda Proctor ceramics in last week’s post, but I had to include her on the list because her pet portrait mugs are truly amazing, especially for the coffee lovers in your family. I am not a coffee drinker but I still get excited to use my Teddy mugs all the time. I keep them sitting on the kitchen counter, so they add a pop of fun to the space! You can order your pet portrait mug here and check out Amanda’s work here. Find her on Instagram here.

Sarah Paints Pets

Sarah is an animal lover and artist based in Georgia. She started by painting a portrait of her boyfriend’s cat for their anniversary and the orders came rolling in after that. She creates beautiful portraits and paints every pet as if they were her own. She even does fun quick sketch portraits. I’ve ordered one of her quick sketches of my sister’s dog Ozzieman and one of her portraits for my mother in law of her dogs Jack and Mulder. You can learn more about Sarah and her portraits here and you can check her out on Instagram here.

CryBaby Craft

CryBaby craft is local to Baton Rouge and was started by Meghan Daniel. Meghan creates fun and unique embroidery. Last year, I asked Meghan if she could embroider a portrait of Teddy on a sweatshirt and boy did she deliver! I would say this sweatshirt is one of my most worn items. I definitely want a piece that I can hang on the wall, so that is on my wish list! Check out Meghan’s work here.
